Assateague Island is known for its beautiful beaches\, wild ponies\, and stunning natural scenery. \nDuring the event\, couples can participate in activities that are designed to bring them closer together. These activities may include guided beach hikes\, beach yoga\, games\, bonfires\, and more. There will also be opportunities for couples to relax and unwind together by the ocean. \nAs a camping event\, couples will need to bring their own camping gear\, food\, and other necessities. The event organizers will provide more information on what to bring closer to the event date. \n_____________________________________ \n**This year enhance your Goombay camping adventure with an exclusive culinary journey by Chef Carl. Immerse yourself in the artistry of Chef Carl’s love-infused cuisine\, featuring the finest seasonal\, fresh ingredients for a wonderful dinning experience. Embark on your day with a beachside brunch and conclude it with a romantic sunset couples dinner. Chef Carls grazing tables offer a tempting variety of delights for you to relish. Brunch comes with refreshing mimosas\, and dinner is elegantly paired with glass of wine.\n \nMeal Plan Additional Cost Per Couple: $155\n\n*This meal package is optional. We rent tents and sleeping bags that can be secured and paid during registration (all equipment is washed and cleaned after each use). Equipment will be brought to the campsite for pick up and the staff will assist you with setting up your tent. \nGOOMBAY EQUIPMENT RENTALS: $45 per small to Medium size tent (2-4 person size tents only) per weekend | SLEEPING BAG: $35 per sleeping bag per weekend\n__________________________________\n \nTRANSPORTATION & CHECK IN \nCampers driving to the campsite can check in on Friday\, June 14th from 9am – 7pm (PLEASE ARRIVE BEFORE DARK). Early Bird campers may check in on Thursday\, June 13th starting at 3:00pm. \nOnce you arrive at the main gate\, proceed to the camp ground Drop Off Parking lot.  Do not check in at the Park Ranger Office!  Once you drop off your equipment\, you must park in the Main Parking Lot (please refer to the camp site map below or in the event GroupMe). \nWe encourage campers to NOT ARRIVE AT THE CAMP GROUND AFTER DARK!  It is very difficult to set up camp in the dark and there may not be anyone available to assist you. \nCAMP GROUND LOCATION: Assateague Island National Seashore\, Bayside Dr\, Berlin\, MD 21811 | SITE 4 & 5\n \n* There is a $20 fee for all vehicles that enter the park.  If the DROP OFF parking lot near the camp site fills up\, all vehicles must park in the MAIN PARKING lot.  Parking spaces are not guaranteed in the DROP OFF lot. \n_________________________________\n \nIf you have any questions please contact Butch at (202)210-1957
